Lawyer Says Health of Jailed Russian Tycoon Lebedev Cause for Concern
The state of Platon Lebedev's health has seriously deteriorated. This is linked to the fact that he has been moved from the hospital wing to a nine-person cell, his lawyer Anton Drel said. “When I went to detention facility No. 77 today to visit Platon Lebedev, I was struck by his poor state of health. For some time Lebedev has not been in very good health, but today he looked very bad and unlike on my previous visits he was really dragging his feet. Of course prison isn't a sanatorium, but certainly in light of the fact that he so far hasn't had any medical help or been examined and they are still refusing to give him medicine, this is giving rise to concern amongst his defence team.”
