Khodorkovsky's Condition Worsens - Lawyer

Mikhail Khodorkovsky's condition has deteriorated because of his hunger strike, his lawyer Genrikh Padva said. Khodorkovsky’s movements have slowed down and his articulation has become less clear. Khodorkovsky is on hunger strike in protest against the transfer to solitary confinement of Platon Lebedev. It was reported today that Lebedev would be returned to a general cell. His lawyer Yelena Liptser, however, told our radio station that his lawyers would only learn tomorrow whether Lebedev had actually been brought back. Khodorkovsky is expected to end his hunger strike when he hears of Lebedev’s release from the isolation cell.
