“Reaction” in Warsaw

Reaction, a film by Vladimir Gerchikov and focusing on society’s reaction to Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s sentence, will be shown at the 5th International Human Rights Film Festival. This annual film festival at which documentaries and reports relating to human rights are shown will take place in Warsaw from December 9-17.

The film Reaction, which is on the competition list, will be shown Monday, December 12. Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s Canadian attorney Robert Amsterdam is expected to meet the audience and reporters after the showing of the film.

Reaction is an attempt to discover the opinions of Russian society about the sentence passed on the former businessman. The report was shot in several cities and gives the opinions - and some refusals to comment - of people from various age and social groups.
