Alexei Kondaurov, State Duma Deputy, is Concerned About Platon Lebedev’s State of Health
State Duma Deputy Alexei Kondaurov (Communist Party) has submitted a request to the head of the penal colony where Platon Lebedev is serving his sentence. In his official telegram, sent last week to the Head of OG 98/3, the Deputy requests that he should be given unclassified information regarding the following: whether a medical examination of Platon Lebedev has been conducted; whether the local doctor is aware of his chronic ailments; whether he requires hospital treatment; and whether there is a possibility of having a team of doctors [examine him]. Mr. Kondaurov also asks whether Lebedev or other inmates who suffer from chronic ailments are able to receive the medications that they need through official channels “from outside.”
The deputy expressed the hope that the response from the head of the penal colony “is not going to be a formal run-around.”
