Ninth day of hunger strike
and victory at Chita court.
The decision of Ingodinsky district court regarding limiting Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s allowed time to study case documents was not upheld at higher instance.
Chita regional court today ruled that the prosecutor had been unable to prove during previous hearings that Khodorkovsky had deliberately been taking too long time to familiarise himself with the case documents. The decision of Ingodinsky court was cancelled. However, the case is now being reviewed at Ingodinsky court.
Mikhail Khodorkovsky was present during the hearing. He has been on a hunger strike for ten days, consuming only water. His reaction to today’s decision of the Simonovsky court in Moscow will most likely be know tomorrow when his lawyers will inform him of recent changes in the case of Vasily Aleksanyan.
