During the appeals process, defense lawyers (Anton Drel and Evgeny Baru, shown above) for Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev were only allowed to work with one copy of the court records in a designated room, where they quickly noticed portions of the court records were missing or text was altered.
