Recent instances of the intimidation of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev’s lawyers seem to have gone unnoticed by society. But attacks on the lawyers didn’t start yesterday. Pressure has been put on the defence since the very first day of its work on the case. An article that demonstrates the regularity and consistency of this pressure and of attempts to undermine the lawyers’ professional rights can be read in a report by the Centre for the Assistance of International Protection. The report has been sent to Russian Human Eights Commissioner Vladimir Lukin and to many international organizations.
